Donaldson Company, Inc. Scholarship Program, 2010

This scholarship made my dream of going to college possible. The rising cost of tuition was causing financial problems that I kept stressing about. I worked all throughout my high school career to save money for college but that wasn't even enough. When I found out that I received this scholarship, I immediately starting crying. Words couldn't explain how happy I was. College has always been in my future, and it's very important to me that I obtain my degree in Mental Health Counseling. I want to be able to help people cope with life's everyday challenges.

My parents are what inspired me to go to college. They have always been my rock when I needed it. They have changed my life in so many ways and helped me realize my true values and beliefs. I want to be able to be somebody's rock when they need it, too. I always worked hard throughout my high school career to obtain the grades I needed to get into college. Acquiring the necessary skills was challenging at times but I always studied harder or went in early to school to get help.

My life's goal is to help people, and by earning my degree that's exactly what I will be able to do.
